Tour Itinerary

You will admire the monuments that symbolize the old town of Florence and the masterpieces of art of all times, among which the most famous sculpture in the world, the David by Michelangelo, all narrated by your private local guide.
Meet your private guide at the entrance of the Accademy Gallery and admire the wonderful statue of David, the result of the genius of Michelangelo and other important works of art such as ''I Prigioni'', ''San Matteo'' and the “Palestrina Pietà”. The young Michelangelo carved the David from a huge block of rough marble in three years, creating an imposing sculpture of absolute beauty, an icon of the Renaissance model. He depicted a magnificent nude young man at the height of his physical vigor, whose intense expression of strength and courage, which originated from an absolute faith in God, roses as a symbol of power and invincibility of the Florentine Republic at the time of its maximum splendor.
Left the museum, stroll along the beautiful streets and squares of the old town where you will visit the marvellous complex of the Duomo with monuments entirely coated with polychrome marbles: the Cathedral, with the magnificent Dome by Brunelleschi, the Baptistery and Giotto’s Bell Tower. Your private and expert guide will be glad to escort you to the visit of the imposing and singular stone building of the Church of Orsanmichele, in which the wonderful tabernacle of the Orcagna is located, a masterpiece of Florentine Gothic Art. After your private tour, you will proceed to the lovely Mercato della Paglia with its famous "piglet" and then you will reach Piazza della Signoria where to admire the sculpture masterpieces of Loggia dei Lanzi and the impressive Palazzo Vecchio with the crenellated tower of Arnolfo, one of the famous symbols of the city.
