What Will I See?
Our Gray Line Florence Guided Walking Tour of the scenic Cinque Terre fishing towns, an untouched expanse of the Italian Riviera, provides an enticing insight to this pristine World Heritage Site and National Park. Accessed by boat and train, the picturesque villages of Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza and Monterosso are shining example of the idyllic Italian hamlets.
What Will I Do?
Our guided visit to Cinque Terre's five fishing villages on the dazzling Italian Riviera will take you to Manarola, Riomaggiore, Monterosso and Vernazza. Cinque Terre, secluded for centuries, is surrounded by mountains and valleys to the east and the Mediterranean to the west. A protected World Heritage Site and National Park, Cinque Terre stretches along miles of unspoiled coastline.
The first stop on our guided tour is Manarola, a small town dating back to 1338. There you will catch a train to Riomaggiore, where to enjoy some free time before taking a lovely boat ride to Monterosso, known for its extensive beach and artisan shops. Here you can take a dip in the Mediterranean or browse at the quaint village shops, before to stop for a traditional and delicious lunch at a local restaurant with views of the Mediterranean and the rolling hillsides.
A train brings us then to Vernazza, where we will stop for some free time to enjoy this beautiful town populated by outdoor cafes and taverns. Finally, a train will bring us to La Spezia, where a bus awaits to bring us back to Florence. Our guided tour may vary the order of the visits but will certainly not disappoint.
Why Should I Go?
Exploring Cinque Terre's five fishing villages is a chance to experience traditional life on the Italian Riviera where the rugged coastline, shaped over centuries, retains the colorful and vibrant charm of towns rooted in fishing, wine and olive oil making.
